The Institute for Personalist Psychology is a non-profit learning
center for clergy-religious and lay counselors interested in receiving
formation in the applied personalist psychology of Anna Terruwe,
M.D., Ph.D. and Conrad W. Baars, M.D. These two outstanding
doctors have provided gifts for all seeking a better life.
Since 1949, Anna Terruwe, M.D., Ph.D. (assisted by the work of
Dutch priest-psychiatrist and professor Willem J. Duynstee, CSsR,
LL.D.) made significant breakthroughs in understanding the
psychology of the healthy person and family as well as the
psychologically weakened person and family.

In the 1950s, when Dr. Terruwe became associated with Conrad
W. Baars, M.D., their collected fountain of teachings & counseling
practices emerged from the study of philosophy, rational
psychology & religion --especially the words “love your neighbor
as yourself.”
The Institute for Personalist Psychology was named in the honor
and tradition of these doctors who offer an effective, moral, &
distinct school of counseling education & ministry.
