OVERVIEW<br />
We will help you develop into an emerging artist or<br />
designer with the support of our expert teachers and in<br />
our contemporary, open plan art studio. Similar to facilities<br />
offered at some of the top universities, you will have a<br />
personalised ‘pod’ space for the duration of your A Level<br />
course to grow your creative ideas.<br />
During the first term of our A Level courses, you will<br />
participate in a series of workshops and small projects to<br />
allow you to build a broad portfolio of work, explore our<br />
wide range of facilities and broaden your technical skills.<br />
Our teaching staff will spend time discussing your personal<br />
ambitions and tailor the subject matter of your work towards<br />
your own interests.<br />
Assessment<br />
Two components: a personal<br />
Investigation (60%) completed<br />
between January in Year 12<br />
and Christmas in Year 13 and an<br />
externally set assignment (40%)<br />
completed between January and<br />
Easter in Year 13.<br />
