Market on 3rd December from 10am until
4pm. The market is a brilliant opportunity to
support small, local business and makers, giving
visitors the chance to meet the people that make the
products. As well as the market stalls there will be
live music from The Fireflies and a complimentary
glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. Contact

Christmas Present
Celebrate the best of Surrey’s artists and artisans
and shop a huge range of interesting and one-off
gifts. West Horsley Place (location of the genius
BBC comedy Ghosts), will host the Christmas
Fair from 24th to 26th November. You’ll find
exhibits from Surrey Hills Enterprises, Surrey
Guild of Craftsmen, Wey Ceramics, Guildford
Art Society and many more. With stalls across
the barn and the manor it’s a great chance to
soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful historic

‘Tis the season
Head to Guildford Cathedral for shopping, food, music
and art this Advent and Christmas. The Cathedral
will be full of festive cheer throughout November and
December, with music from Rick Wakeman and friends
to John Rutter to the Snowman. Advent services start
on Sunday 1 December with the Advent Carol Service
at 6pm. A Virtual Advent Calendar will have a door a
day opening to the cathedral’s wonderful choir singing,

Christmas Craft Fair on 3rd December
in their lovely Orangery. Head along to join
talented local crafters, cooks and bakers and pick
up some beautiful handmade Christmas gifts. From
local honey, beeswax candles, essential oil candles and
crocheted homewares to delicious homemade chutneys and
jams, festive tray-bakes and fantastic cakes, all alongside
handmade wreaths and seasonal planters. Staplehurst
Community Choir will be performing carols and
there will be mince pies and mulled wine on
offer to keep you fuelled.
