Alongside Young Minds, Shaping Industry
4.0 Technicians
Contributing towards the professional education of our young people
is a fundamental pillar of our Group’s purpose. We believe training
is crucial for the individual and professional growth of people,
as it enables them to bring value to the markets in the Countries
where we operate.
The shortage of qualified manpower has remained a constant challenge,
despite the significant changes brought about by the pandemic
in the world of work.
To ride the wave of digital transition and support the development
of industry 4.0, all companies increasingly require specialized technicians,
but are struggling to find qualified professionals. At TESYA,
we have an ongoing hiring plan: from now until 2025, we anticipate
increasing the recruitment of specialized technicians by approximately
25%.
This is an extremely sensitive issue as it affects us directly. We feel
it is our moral duty to make a significant contribution in this field
with our knowledge and strength.
We believe that investing in the future of young people is fundamental
and that we must support them along their training and growth journey.
For this reason, on one hand, we are collaborating with various stakeholders
to reposition the image of the technician and help them
understand the prospects of this profession. On the other hand, we
are collaborating in a structural manner with technical institutes.
We have initiated a project with some technical institutes in Italy
and Spain, particularly with the Salesians, to train industry 4.0 technicians,
because we firmly believe in the collaboration between
business and education to reemphasize the importance of technical
education.
The project aims to develop expertise through a year-long program
for technical high school graduates, with “STARTech”, a one-year educational
program consisting of classroom courses and 400-hours of
paid internship at our Italian and Spanish companies. The objective
is to cultivate advanced technical professionals, capable of operating
on sophisticated mechatronic systems applied in the industry.
