Pollyanna’s Kitchen Jamish®
Pollyanna makes her unique range of oils and condiments in West Sussex and her first
product was Chillish® which she describes as the ultimate chilli oil. She’s been adding
to her range year on year, and 2023 saw the launch of Jamish®, a scrumptious and
robust, smokey chilli jam.
Full to the brim with smokey chillies, red pepper and sweet caramelised sugar, Jamish®
adds to its hearty depth of flavour with garlic, ginger and spices to create a sweet
sticky jam with a kick. Use it as a spread, a marinade or glaze, but Pollyanna’s top
suggestions are:
• Spread over some fresh sourdough
and add French brie and warm
smoked bacon
• Spoon onto a warm goat’s cheese and
walnut salad
• Spread over your bread roll before
adding your burger and cheese
• Brush over belly pork or beef brisket
before slow cooking
• Glaze tiger prawns, Halloumi or Tofu
• Stir into mashed potato
Sussex Bites

Part of the Beachcroft Hotel, the Tamarisk is just feet away from the seafront so perfect
for a warming lunch after a blustery winter walk on the King Charles III English
Coastal Path.
They promise you the freshest, highest quality sustainable produce from the British
Isles. Chef, Damian Czerny, will serve you the delights of Bocconcini, melon, and
Cointreau salad, local trout and horseradish paté, fried seabass with tarragon lobster
bisque crab beignet and asparagus or vegetable Wellington with roasted pepper, tomato,
garlic and almond sauce. Well worth a visit! Check the menu first as it is seasonal and
likely to change.
Spirit of the Downs Grape Vodka
This Special Edition Sussex Grape Vodka has developed its
unique flavour and body from a year resting on Pinot Noir
grapes from Sugrue South Down’s Mount Harry vineyard near
Lewes, East Sussex. This sipping vodka has grass and pepper
on the nose with a lovely essence of Madagascan Vanilla on
the palate and a long finish. It’s the perfect accompaniment for
outdoor autumn and winter events or for walkers to lift the
spirits on a hike.
Patty Guy, The Courtyard,

Kenny Tutt is a British cook and winner of
the MasterChef 2018 UK TV show and Patty
Guy is his baby. Kenny formerly had two
restaurants in Worthing but his focus has
moved to burgers. He told Sussex Exclusive,
“I’ve always loved street food. Burgers do need
to be good burgers with great quality meat,
but I think it’s the fact that you get the full
spectrum of flavours. You get the fatty meat
and the acidity of the pickle, then you get that
saltiness from the cheese … it’s a one-stop
comfort food and flavour experience. All handheld.

simple and affordable and everything is made
fresh on the day.”
Patty Guy is a fulfilment of Kenny’s lifelong love
affair with burgers and his desire to recreate the
feeling of having the perfect bite in your hand.
