In the main we are talking about designer handbags, luggage and clothing but in addition other accessories such as sunglasses, jewellery boxes and even designer jeans and wellies! These mega brands have evolved into highly sophisticated marketing machines with a new range of designer goods available every season. Production numbers are carefully rationed to ensure that demand exceeds supply and new versions of old staples aim to keep the buying public coming back for more. The stylish emporiums of Bond Street and beyond beckon to those fashionistas with a budget to match their desire for the latest and greatest but many collectors and followers of fashion wait a season or two and look to the second hand market to satisfy their passion at a more modest budget. The business in pre-loved or vintage is booming. The very nature of high end fashion results in last years’ must have being supplanted by this years’ hot item and accordingly a steady supply to after market sellers. The offering at Gorringe’s has beautiful handbags by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Mulberry, Gucci, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent. Estimates range from £1,000 down to cheaper than the high street at just £40. We have vintage a Damier trunk, a wardrobe trunk and suitcases made by Louis Vuitton. Accessories include YSL and Hermès belts, Hermès silk scarves and ties, many in their original boxes. The designer clothing for ladies and gentlemen in this sale ranges from vintage Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Prada, Dolce & Gabanna, Gucci Versace and many more. different additional charges on top of the hammer price and buyer’s premium.<br />
CONDITION REPORTS<br />
Rarely are things <strong>at</strong> auction in perfect condition so do s<strong>at</strong>isfy yourself as to the condition of each lot. Condition reports<br />
are not printed in the c<strong>at</strong>alogue. They are all available in the online c<strong>at</strong>alogue <strong>at</strong> www.gorringes.co.uk. Please email if you<br />
require further inform<strong>at</strong>ion about a lot.<br />
VAT<br />
Please note th<strong>at</strong> due to the withdrawal of the Retail Export Scheme by HMRC, we are unable to provide VAT refunds<br />
document<strong>at</strong>ion for hand-carried exports. In order to qualify for a VAT refund, your lots must be exported by a shipper<br />
and valid export<strong>at</strong>ion document<strong>at</strong>ion must be provided.<br />
PAYMENT TERMS<br />
Payment is required by Wednesday 13th of <strong>December</strong> by debit card, BACS, Worldpay and cash (subject to money<br />
laundering regul<strong>at</strong>ions). Please note we do not accept credit cards or American Express.<br />
PACKING, DELIVERY & SHIPPING<br />
Shipping can prove expensive so please ask us for a shipping quote before bidding. We aim to provide in-house packing<br />
where practical but high value and delic<strong>at</strong>e items may well require a specialist. Overseas shipping is best provided by a<br />
shipper in order to access appropri<strong>at</strong>e insurance cover. We can recommend local carriers, UK domestic carriers and<br />
Intern<strong>at</strong>ional shipping specialists.<br />
BOOK A COLLECTION<br />
Collection is by appointment only. You need to book a collection time by 4pm the previous day. Visit the website or<br />
follow the link on your invoice to book a collection time. Purchases not collected within two weeks of the sale d<strong>at</strong>e<br />
will be held in storage and charged <strong>at</strong> the r<strong>at</strong>e of £5+ VAT per lot per day. Please contact us if you require special<br />
arrangements to be made regarding storage.<br />
