Sridevi's
iconic gown
at 'The
Archies'
screening
Khushi Kapoor is turning heads not just
with her acting but also with a fashion
statement that echoes her mother's iconic
style. On Tuesday, she graced the screening of her
debut film 'The Archies' in a golden gown that was
worn by her mother and late actor Sridevi back in
2013.
Remembering her mother on this special day,
Khushi chose to pay tribute to Sridevi in the iconic
ensemble.
Sridevi wore this gown with intricate crystals as
a showstopper in 2013 at the IFA red carpet. Now, it
takes centre stage once again as Khushi steps into the
world of Bollywood.
A source close to Khushi Kapoor revealed, "Khushi is
extremely happy to pay a tribute to her mother as she
wears such an iconic gown which was once worn by her
mother. She is also wearing Sridevi's jewellery for the
red carpet. This is a very special day and for Khushi it's
particularly an emotional debut."
Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film marks the acting debut
of Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and
Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan.
'The Archies', a coming-of-age musical,
follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica,
Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton who will
take audiences to the fictional hilly town of
Riverdale. The film explores
friendship, freedom love,
heartbreak and rebellion.
The film is all set to stream
on the OTT platform Netflix
from December 7.

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the
most versatile actors in Bollywood.
It was his childhood dream to be a
big screen hero and with his hard work, he
has found that place in his life.
"I remember being supremely excited
about going to the cinemas every single
time. I loved the world films transported
me into. I idolised the heroes. We used to
always watch movies on TV too and then
rented movies as time progressed. Cinema
was always an important part of our daily
lives," he said.
Ayushmann also shared how stalwarts
like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh
Khan fascinated him to take up acting as
a career.
" I grew up being fascinated by the works
of towering heroes like Amitabh Bachchan,
Rajesh Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil
Kapoor, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, to name
a few! I also wanted to be a big screen hero.
So, I'm living my dream now and I consider
myself extremely fortunate to have created
a niche for myself.
The industry has been extremely
welcoming and the audience has given me
a lot of love. I respect that from the bottom
of my heart," he added.
Ayushmann is also grateful to his
parents who pushed him to pursue his
dream of becoming a Hindi film hero.
"The love for the movies is what made
me pursue theatre in college. It pulled me
to Mumbai where I tried to make a name,

struggled for years, cried in joy when my
films worked. I wouldn't have survived
the city or the industry if my love for the
movies wasn't strong enough in my heart
and mind. When I look back, I can't help but
feel grateful that I grew up on cinema and
how my parents pushed me to pursue my
dream," he said.
Dharmendra lauds Bobby
Deol's performance in 'Animal'
Actor Bobby Deol has
been receiving love
from all around the
world for his performance
in 'Animal', which opened in
theatres on December 1.
Bobby's father, veteran
actor Dharmendra, is likewise
pleased with his son's
performance in 'Animal.'
Dharmendra took to Instagram
and shared a photo of Bobby
from the film, which he
captioned, "My, Talented Bob."
Earlier, he was photographed
by paparazzi in Mumbai, and he took the
opportunity to thank the audience for their
support of the film, particularly his fearsome
adversary persona.
"Guys thank you so much. God has been
very kind. Itna pyaar mila is film ke liye. Aisa
lag rha hai main sapna dekh raha hun. (The
film is receiving a lot of love...It feels like I am
dreaming," he said with folded hands.
He was also spotted getting
teary-eyed as he sat in his
car, perhaps reflecting on the
journey and the film's success.

in the late 2000s. After a long gap, he made a
comeback in 2018's 'Race 3', following up with
'Class of '83' and a hit series 'Aashram'.
