Tweaks
Leading and award-winning aesthetic surgeon, Dr Rohit
Seth, tells us about the latest trends and advances in
tweakments and aesthetic procedures
Tweakments are non-surgical
treatments that offer quicker
recovery and fewer risks than
surgical procedures. Of course, we’ve
all heard of lip fillers and botox, but it
turns out there are lots more options
out there! To learn more about them,
we asked Harley Street Clinic Surrey’s
Medical Director, Dr Rohit Seth, to share
the benefit of his 25 years’ experience.
Are attitudes to cosmetic
treatments changing?
Perceptions are certainly evolving. We’re
currently experiencing a shift toward
preventive measures for youthful ageing, and
are focusing more on a holistic, regenerative
beauty approach. This integrates cosmetic
treatments into overall wellness strategies
and therefore supports mental and emotional
health more effectively. Looking to the
future, there is also a growing interest in
bioidentical hormone treatments which
are used to address age-related hormonal
imbalances. More attention is being paid
to the gut microbiome’s impact on skin
health and we’re seeing a new influence on
cosmetic choices from biohacking principles.
TRENDING TREATMENTS FOR MEN
Botox – to reduce dynamic wrinkles
with natural, youthful results.
Dermal Fillers – to address volume
loss and contour the face.
Liposuction Assisted BodyTite – a body
reshaping procedure to correct gynecomastia (the
development of excess breast tissue in men). It uses
an advanced technology called Radio Frequency
Assisted LipoTightening (RFAL) to liquefy fat cells
and tighten the skin safely, gently, and efficiently.
PRP Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and
hair transplant procedures – for hair loss,
effective in restoring hair in areas affected by
male pattern baldness, but outcomes vary, and
it’s essential to have realistic expectations.
Are men seeking out tweakments more?
With changing societal norms and a growing
emphasis on self-care for all genders, there
is an increasing trend in men’s interest in
cosmetic procedures. Men’s cosmetic concerns
can be diverse, ranging from facial aesthetics
to body contouring and hair restoration,
and all these can be aided by a tweakment.
