Party on 1 December 2023<br />
As Christmas was around the<br />
corner, WiLAT HK had the<br />
privilege <strong>of</strong> throwing a tram party,<br />
with sponsorship by Hong Kong<br />
Tramways, for members, friends<br />
and supporters on 1 December<br />
2023. More than 20 guests<br />
onboard enjoyed the unique<br />
experience <strong>of</strong> the festive tram<br />
weaving through the hustle and<br />
bustle <strong>of</strong> the vibrant city on a Friday<br />
evening, while nibbling delicacies,<br />
sipping wine and most importantly<br />
celebrating the holiday season<br />
and catching up with one another.<br />
It was such a memorable twohour<br />
party ride, thanks to Paul<br />
Tirvaudey, Managing Director<br />
<strong>of</strong> Hong Kong Tramways, for his<br />
graciousness and generosity -<br />
so much so that some guests<br />
were already asking when the<br />
next one would take place.<br />
The party served as the last<br />
highlight <strong>of</strong> WiLAT HK as the year<br />
was drawing to a close, ready to<br />
usher in an even more prosperous<br />
<strong>2024</strong>!<br />

• WiLAT India organised a webinar<br />
where we break barriers and<br />
shatter stereotypes in October<br />
2023.. Discover the stories <strong>of</strong><br />
remarkable women who have<br />
risen in the field <strong>of</strong> logistics and<br />
aviation.<br />
• The event was designed to<br />
empower and inspire women<br />
in traditionally male-dominated<br />
sectors. The webinar featured a<br />
distinguished lineup <strong>of</strong> speakers,<br />
including Wing Commander<br />
Shilpee Sharma (Rtd.) and Wing<br />
Commander Meenakshi Agnihotri,<br />
both <strong>of</strong> whom have made<br />
significant contributions to the<br />
Indian Air Force.<br />
PAKISTAN<br />
• CILT/ WiLAT Pakistan in<br />
coordination with Maritime<br />
Training Institute held a<br />
WiLAT Global C<strong>of</strong>fee talk on<br />
September 30, 2023 (MARPOL<br />
at 50: Safe guarding our<br />
Oceans).<br />
• This webinar highlighted the<br />
industry’s importance and<br />
focused on critical aspects<br />
related to shipping, trade,<br />
and safety on the seas. The<br />
theme “MARPOL at 50: Safe<br />
guarding our Oceans” marked<br />
the 50-year legacy <strong>of</strong> MARPOL<br />
as well as promoted a global<br />
conversation on how to move<br />
towards a sustainable maritime<br />
transport future. It reflected<br />
the ongoing dedication and<br />
commitment to the objectives<br />
<strong>of</strong> MARPOL and the continued<br />
efforts required to safeguard<br />
the marine<br />
