Being in a hospital anytime is hard but especially for
children during the holidays. The Concord Amazon
facility and its employees helped bring many smiles
to our patients as they all dressed up as Polar
Express characters and arrived in the Amazon truck
ready to deliver lots of toys.
After unloading the Amazon truck, the employees helped to make sure our
pediatric patients grabbed their golden ticket and hopped on the Amazon train.
Patients made their way to the North Pole in the playroom at the Jeff Gordon
Children’s Center at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
During this special time, Amazon set up a hot chocolate bar, played the Polar
Express movie, and even helped Santa visit each patient. Our Foundation and
Hospital is thankful for a wonderful experience our patients and families were able
to enjoy with Amazon’s help.
These types of experiences and donations
from our community are what help our
children continue to be kids while in the
hospital receiving medical care.
