me, “My search finally brought me to Not Just Candi -
the perfect band for me, love it, lots of fun.”
Steve Hartman is the lead guitarist and adds vocals
also. After returning home from England while in the
USAF, self-taught “guitarist” Steve Hartman took lessons
from well-known Illinois guitar virtuoso, Tom Pecora.
After several months with Tom’s mentoring, Steve was
hooked! Since 1983, his love for many styles of music
has seen him in several different types of bands. As a
current member of the Orlando based Pink Floyd tribute
band, 5 Lost Souls, Steve also had the need to still play
other genres of music. NOT JUST CANDI’s wide range
of styles from club/dance music to rock and genres inbetween
is a great fit!
The band is passionate about supporting vets along
with donating time for animal and wild life shelters. A fun
fact: Candi once donated an original recording to be used
on a compilation disc for our service men and women.
While performing that song at a veterans benefit to her
surprise the audience was singing the tune. On break she
found out they were all veterans that had received the
compilation disc.
If you’re looking for a good time that’s pretty sweet,
it may be NOT JUST CANDI that you’re looking for.
