Sustainability & 100% traceability
Antarctic krill is one of the largest biomasses on the planet
and is a very important element in the Antarctic ecosystem.
We control the entire value chain from krill harvesting to end
product, so we can guarantee 100% traceability.
Area 48
Rimfrost is committed to ensuring that our operations are
sustainable and do not affect this ecosystem. The overall annual
krill catch is only about 0.3% of the krill biomass. Commercial
krill harvesting is very strictly regulated by the Commission
for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources
(CCAMLR) and takes place in area 48.
