Product description
Krill powder is a mix of our krill paste and the protein
fraction resulting from the oil extraction. Krill powder is a free
flowing finely milled krill ingredient rich in marine proteins,
phospholipid omega-3s EPA and DHA, astaxanthin and
choline. Palatability is well accepted by most dogs
and cats.
Application
Krill powder can be used in most formats of pet food and
is by experience suitable for tablets and capsules due to its
small particle size of < 250 micron.

Packaging, storage and shelf life
Sealed foil bags of 20 kg with inert headspace. Transported,
handled and stored preferably below 25 degree
Celsius. Shelf life is 2 years from production date when
stored in unopened packaging.

Sustainability & 100% traceability
Antarctic krill is one of the largest biomasses on the planet
and is a very important element in the Antarctic ecosystem.
We control the entire value chain from krill harvesting to end
product, so we can guarantee 100% traceability.
Area 48
Rimfrost is committed to ensuring that our operations are
sustainable and do not affect this ecosystem. The overall annual
krill catch is only about 0.3% of the krill biomass. Commercial
krill harvesting is very strictly regulated by the Commission
for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources
(CCAMLR) and takes place in area 48.
