photographer’s taste and artistic
capability, not the size of the
photos/ albums on offer”.

Video: “Pick a known
videographer who has his own high
quality camera equipment, so that
you have confidence in his services.
Check recommendations. He should
show respect and work with the
couple on a personal basis, understanding
what they are comfortable
with. Tell him your ideas before the
wedding, and best not interfere in
the middle of the filming, also allow
him to take candid shots of the
event. Make sure he personally
attends the wedding celebrations,
so that he knows what took place
and when; resulting a video with
proper natural sequence of events.
Allow at least 2 months for editing
and to bring out his artistic capability.
Have a preview of the edit
before you finalize.”
Sanjeewa Kotalawala
of Torana Videography:
“A wedding takes place only once
in a lifetime, therefore it is an
important event. We understand
that each couple has varied tastes,
they have different likes and
dislikes. Our style is that we talk
with the couple before the wedding
and learn of what they want to be
included in the video, thereby
providing personalized services.
We also advice couples to check if
the videographer they hired would
be attend the wedding himself, or if
he would be sending another
colleague. It is best that they make
sure, he attends, in person”.

wedding should have a natural
flow, which should be captured by
the videographers who stay in the
background. That is what we do, we
take real scenes as they happen
during the wedding, keeping it all
natural”.
