GUINNESS SIX NATIONS 2024 | WALES V ITALY | CYMRU V YR EIDAL The men’s Guinness Six Nations may be coming to an end today but there is still plenty of international rugby action to look forward to. Next weekend it will be the turn of the women to take centre stage as their kick-off their own Championship. Hannah Jones’ side will mirror the fixtures of their male counterparts by kicking-off at home against Scotland at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday. They then travel to Bristol’s Ashton Gate to meet England before flying to Cork to meet Ireland. Their final two games are back in the Welsh capital, with France coming to the Arms Park on Sunday, 21 April and Italy arriving on Saturday, 27 April for a game at Principality Stadium. The Welsh men’s team have a great summer lined-up as they seek to continue their development. They will take on the world champion Springboks at Twickenham on Saturday, 22 June (KO 2.00pm) before heading to Australia for a two Test, three match tour. They face Joe Schmidt’s Wallabies in Sydney on Saturday, 6 July at Allianz Park and a week later, Saturday, 13 July, they meet again in Melbourne at AAMI Park. Wales haven’t beaten Australia in their own backyard since 1969, so it is a great opportunity to create some history. The French have won the last three editions of the tournament, while New Zealand have won the most titles since Wales hosted the inaugural U20 Championship in 2008, with six. Spain qualified by winning the second tier World Rugby U20 Trophy last summer. Wales met both New Zealand and France in their Pool last summer, losing 27-26 and 43- 19 respectively, before going on to finish sixth overall. The pool games will be played the Danie Craven Stadium and the Athlone Stadium, with the final taking place at Cape Town Stadium.
