well as hosting touring productions. Salisbury Arts Centre is<br />

a vibrant hub of activity housed in a beautiful deconsecrated<br />

church. While Salisbury International Arts Festival takes over<br />

the city for three fabulous weeks from the end of May.<br />

Parade House in Trowbridge is open on a regular basis for<br />

ticketed public events and private tours. It even has its own<br />

cinema and bar in the historic vaults. The luxury 24-seat cinema<br />

The Screening Room opened in the historic vaults of Parade<br />

House in 2023, showing the best in classic and independent<br />

cinema each week. The adjoining Ushers Bar is open on Film<br />

Nights for drinks and light meals, and other selected evenings<br />

for drinks and special events.<br />

There are several music festivals that take place here in Wiltshire<br />

including the world-renowned WOMAD Festival and the End of<br />

the Road Festival, held in the beautiful Larmer Tree gardens.<br />

The small village of Edington, near Westbury, comes alive in late<br />

August with the arrival of the Edington Music Festival, focusing<br />

on choral music.<br />

Taking place just south of Salisbury, in the beautiful<br />

Cranborne Chase National Landscape is the Chalke Valley<br />

History Festival. Not only will you be able to enjoy talks by<br />

famous historians and broadcasters but you can enjoy reenactments,<br />

air shows and discussions and debates.<br />

Events including open-air theatre, historic re-enactments,<br />

firework displays and Christmas celebrations are regular<br />

occurrences at historic properties too. Including Arundells,<br />

Avebury and Bowood, Lacock, Longleat and Mompesson<br />

House, Old Sarum, Old Wardour Castle, Stourhead and<br />

Westonbirt Arboretum.<br />
