Tell us more about Jam<br />
Jam is the art collective of Michael Jones and Glen<br />
Middleham. We create prints and statement art pieces<br />
available to purchase online and in our boutique gallery in<br />
Ashburton.<br />
Why Ashburton?<br />
We love living in Ashburton – it’s such a vibrant town that’s<br />
full of art, history and culture. So, when the opportunity<br />
to open the gallery and shop came up, we jumped at the<br />
chance!<br />
What inspires<br />
your art?<br />
We both draw<br />
inspiration from<br />
lots of sources.<br />
Whether that’s<br />
memories of<br />
growing up by<br />
the coast in<br />
Torbay, family<br />
day trips to<br />
Dartmoor,<br />
vintage<br />
ephemera or<br />
pop culture influences, these inspirations all feed into what is<br />
a colourful and eclectic, yet complementary, body of work.<br />
We create art designed to spark conversation. And we do<br />
this using a whole variety of mediums including collage,<br />
printmaking and UV resin work. Every day in the studio can<br />
be very different – we thrive on working spontaneously and<br />
this infectious energy is captured in our work.<br />
