In trials with salmon krill protein hydrolysate significantly increased feed intake and growth – suggesting efficient release of appetite triggering amino acids. During shrimp trials, the utilization of krill hydrolysate resulted in improved growth compared to low fishmeal feeds, with similar feed conversion ratio as the control feeds. Additionally, it led to enhanced survival rates following osmotic stress.
