WELCOME
The publication of our latest magazine marks a
particularly proud moment in Simpson Travel’s
history as we welcome new investment into the
business and accelerate plans to bring you new
destinations and enhance our portfolio.
Established in 2002, it’s been extremely gratifying to see the
business flourish over the years, with a host of industry awards
and a near-perfect Trustpilot score: a glowing and entirely
independent endorsement from the people who matter most.
At heart, Simpson Travel remains a family-run business and it
gives me great pleasure to watch my three children and the wider
team take the company forward with the same passion and
commitment that I have always enjoyed.
You may know that I now live in Crete, the island where my
career in travel began and the place where Yianna and I have
embarked upon our latest adventure along the road less travelled.
Here, by the warm Libyan Sea, we are in the process
of renovating the house of our dreams on Diaskari Beach;
a 150-year-old warehouse originally used for storing olive oil
and wine. It’s a simple place, untouched for many years and
it is very special to have come full circle since the halcyon days
when we started Simply Crete in 1978.
Though much has changed during my career, I am more
mindful than ever that distinctive, quality accommodation
coupled with exceptional service are the pillars upon which
Simpson Travel’s first-class reputation is built. These founding
principles remain central to the company ethos and, as ever, our
outstanding team understand the importance of going the extra
mile to deliver unforgettable holiday experiences.
