It all began in Klagenfurt in 1868, when Josef RETTL founded the Kärntner k.u.k. Uniform Institute.<br />
Today - five generations later - the company has remained true to the strict quality criteria<br />
required by the military. However, the fashion line that Thomas RETTL nowadays creates has<br />
become much more diverse and colourful.<br />
RETTL caused an international sensation with his legendary kilt collection and the unique Carinthian<br />
kilts, which are worn by many enthusiastic customers such as Franz Klammer, Armin<br />
Assinger and Thomas Morgenstern, as well as Sir Sean Connery and in the meantime even<br />
members of the British royal family.<br />
Good clothing represents its wearer. Finding the individual touch and expressing one’s own<br />
personality in a dazzling way with customised clothing – RETTL has made a name for itself far<br />
beyond the borders.<br />
