Board of Directors Welcomes New Members
Three new members were recently appointed to the CCAC Educational Foundation
Board of Directors. Governed by an all-volunteer board, the CCAC Foundation’s mission
is to raise funds, manage assets and distribute resources in support of the college’s
mission of open access to quality education and workforce development training.
Gary Glausser is
a partner at Birchmere
Ventures and co-founder
and managing director at
Corridor Venture Partners.
Amy Kuntz serves as
senior vice president and
market director for PNC
Institutional Investments in
the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Charlene Petrelli
(’85, South) is the vice
president and chief
human resources officer
of EQT Corporation.
All newly appointed members will serve a three-year term, helping to lead the Educational
Foundation in its mission of providing financial support that maintains CCAC’s commitment to
providing affordable access to quality education.
“ The entire CCAC community is very pleased to add three such distinguished
people to our board. Their extensive experience and diverse credentials
will significantly expand the Foundation’s capacity to provide additional
resources to support comprehensive training programs, ensure continued
accessibility and maintain the college’s reputation of academic excellence
in higher education.”
Fran and Roger Dice: Leading Others to a
Better Life Through education at CCAC
During the past 35 years, CCAC alumna
and assistant dean of Academic Management
Frances (Fran) Dice has witnessed the college’s
tremendous growth, new technologies, many
exciting educational initiatives and countless
students who graduated because of caring
people who donated money for scholarships.
Thanks to their generosity, Fran and her
husband Roger will keep the momentum going
by supporting CCAC with the Frances and
Roger Dice Scholarship they began funding a
decade ago. Now endowed, this scholarship
will be awarded to the first recipient next fall.
“Thanks to our families, my husband and I
were both grateful for the opportunity to go to
college and graduate without any debt,” says
Fran Dice. “In these times, we realize it can be
economically challenging for students. This
scholarship will help those students who want
to better themselves and ensure they can go on
to better their lives.”
After high school, she planned to work
during the day and attend school at night. With
the establishment of CCAC and its affordable
tuition rate, she was able to enroll full time at
CCAC-Allegheny Campus, making her among
the first to graduate from the college in 1968.
When she finished her bachelor’s degree
in English Literature from the University of
Pittsburgh, Fran, along with Roger, who also
graduated from the University of Pittsburgh
with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical
Engineering, moved out of state. When they
returned to the Pittsburgh area, she was
excited to accept a position at CCAC. She later
completed her master’s degree in Business from
Robert Morris University.
