CCAC Alumni Launches 2011 CCAC Alumni Association
In 2010, CCAC Alumni Affairs successfully launched the CCAC Alumni Association to improve the college’s relationship with
alumni and to advance the mission of CCAC. More than 600 alumni joined the association in 2010.
The Alumni Association offers programs, services and activities that provide professional and social networking opportunities
while enhancing alumni connections with CCAC and each other.
Annual membership dues for 2011 are $20 and include the following benefits:
CCAC Alumni Association Member Rewards
Card—This unique rewards card includes discounts for
45 retail businesses within the greater Pittsburgh area.
CCAC Rewards Website—CCAC Alumni
Association members have access to online discounts and
printable coupons for local and national businesses and
services at www.ccacrewards.com.
CCAC Federal Credit Union—CCAC Alumni
Association members are eligible to join the credit union
and have access to its entire range of financial products
and services. Visit www.ccacfcu.com for more details.
CCAC Campus Libraries Access—CCAC Alumni
Association members are eligible to use the library
facilities on each of CCAC’s four campuses.
Venture Outdoors Community Membership
Program—CCAC Alumni Association members are
eligible to join Venture Outdoors for a 20% discount off
the regular annual membership fee.
Advanced Notice of Events—CCAC Alumni
Association members receive advanced notice of selected
college events and special offers. Payment may be made
via check or money order, payable to the CCAC Alumni
Association.
Following receipt of the membership fee, please allow three weeks for membership processing. CCAC Alumni Association
membership benefits materials, including a member ID card, will be mailed after membership processing is complete.

CCAC Alumni Association Hosts Cocktail Reception
On Thursday, November 18,
members of the CCAC Alumni
Association attended a cocktail
reception in Byers Hall on
CCAC’s Allegheny Campus.
The invitation-only reception
provided an opportunity for
association members and their
guests to meet fellow alumni,
CCAC President Alex Johnson,
PhD and members of the CCAC
Alumni Board.
President of the Alumni Board,
Betty Lyons (’93 & ’97, South) welcomed Alumni Association
members home to CCAC and introduced the evening’s
speakers. President Johnson shared information on the college’s
enrollment while CCAC Trustee and Allegheny County
Councilman William Russell Robinson provided an update on
funding. Executive Director of the Frieda G. Shapira Center for
Learning at CCAC Alice McKenna, PhD, highlighted CCAC’s
past, present and future. Larry
Gleason, president of the CCAC
Educational Foundation Board of
Directors, provided an overview of
the college’s fundraising arm.
Catering was provided by
McGinnis Sisters Special Food
Stores and a dessert buffet was
provided by AVI Foodsystems.
CCAC Alumna Benita Johnson
(’84, Allegheny) was the recipient
of a door prize raffle basket, which
included CCAC merchandise, four
bottles of wine and a gift certificate for a free wine appreciation
course through CCAC Community Education. CCAC alumni
t-shirts were also raffled. All members of the association
received a gift bag containing an alumni pen and pencil set, a
CCAC alumni lapel pin, a history of CCAC DVD and the 2009
CCAC Annual Report.
