band was selected <strong>for</strong> a<br />

live per<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

2004 Van's Warped Tour<br />

Tuesday <strong>at</strong> UBC's Thunderbird<br />

St<strong>ad</strong>ium.<br />

Ernie Ball's B<strong>at</strong>tle of <strong>the</strong><br />

Bands Contest invited<br />

B.C. bands <strong>to</strong> <strong>ad</strong>d <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

site <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> contest j^ebsite.<br />

The public was asked <strong>to</strong><br />

go online and vote <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>ir favourite band.<br />

Scott said <strong>the</strong>y were really<br />

l<strong>at</strong>e putting <strong>the</strong> band on<br />

<strong>the</strong> website, but still managed<br />

<strong>to</strong> garner enough<br />

votes <strong>to</strong> be in <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p foun<br />

"The site was set up in<br />

Oc<strong>to</strong>ber but we didn't<br />

manage <strong>to</strong> get on <strong>the</strong>re<br />

until April, almost <strong>the</strong> end<br />

of <strong>the</strong> contest," he said.<br />

Across North America,<br />

more than 4,000 bands<br />

were vying <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p<br />

four spots in <strong>the</strong>ir geographic<br />

area. Now Ludo<br />

is looking <strong>for</strong> online<br />

voters <strong>to</strong> pick <strong>the</strong>m as <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>to</strong>p B.C. band. After <strong>the</strong><br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance on Tuesday,<br />

"The per<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>at</strong><br />

Thunderbird St<strong>ad</strong>ium will<br />

played so far."<br />
