Classic Oil-Base Stains
High quality oil based wiping
stains are the easiest type of
stain to apply and control.
These stains feature deep,
uniform colors without
weeping. They can be applied
by spraying, brushing, dipping
and wiping. These stains offer
good light fade properties and
can be clear coated in 60
minutes. After staining allow stain to set before
wiping clean to achieve desired color. The longer the
time allowed before wiping, the deeper the color will
be. All of these oil based stains can be intermixed to
achieve desired colors.

Super Penetrating dye based
NGR stains are designed for
ultimate clarity . They are
designed for maximum
lightfastness in a dye formula.
May be brushed or wiped on,
but for best results a spray
application is recommended.
The stains can be intermixed
to create different shades.
Can be added to lacquer
finishes to create a dye based toner for shading and
toning. Quarts are not subject to the UPS hazmat

Did you know...
That many dark, rich stain colors are achieved by a process
known as two-step staining. Its simple to do, just apply
a dye stain as a foundation color (like our NGR stains)
and then apply our Classic Oil-Base stain as a second
step. The dye stain provides a deep, but blotchy three
dimensional color and the oil stain provides additional
evening color. Works especially well on oaks and other light
color woods, when you want a deep, dark and rich color.
