Credit union awards scholarships: Rock Valley
Credit Union in Machesney Park recently awarded
four $500 scholarships to graduating high
school seniors from the area. Two of the recipients
are Lindsay Lundvall of Harlem High
School and Danielle Mathieu of Hononegah
High School.The students were judged on their
application, academic profile and an essay, and
were required to have a
3.0 GPA.

awards ceremony:
The Junior Reserve
Officers' Training
Corps at Beloit
Memorial High
School will host its
annual review and
awards ceremony at
7 p.m. Thursday, in
the Barkin Arena at
the high school. The
program will consist
of briefings by the
Cadet Staff on activities
for the year, a
military review ceremony,
an exhibition
by the JROTC Drill
Team, presentation
of awards by JROTC
as well as civic and
veterans groups and
refreshments. The
program is free and
open to the public.

Book Sale begins at
