Safe sitter program, June 5, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
NorthPointe Health and Wellness Center in Roscoe. The
program will teach pre-teens and teens (ages 11 to 13)
how to handle emergencies when caring for young children,
basic life-saving techniques, rescue breathing, safety
precautions, accident prevention, group games and basic
child care tips. This is a very popular program, and while
you can’t protect you child from every scrape and scratch,
this program could prevent a simple accident from becoming

First Aid and CPR training, June 10, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Occupational Health Center at 1650 Lee Lane in
Beloit. The course is an eight-hour integrated class to train
designated first aid providers as recommended by OSHA
and presents the latest American Heart Association recommendations.
