Since winning first prize at both the 1983 Pozzoli and<br />

1984 Paloma O’Shea piano competitions, Hugh Tinney<br />

has performed in more than 30 countries throughout<br />

Europe, the USA, South America and the Far East.<br />

A prize in the 1987 Leeds Piano Competition earned him<br />

a busy career in the UK. Programme for the evening<br />

features Bach Prelude In C & D Minor, Schubert Sonata<br />

in B flat, and works from Tom Johnson, Gerald Barry,<br />

‘Coirm’ is an exciting Irish language talent<br />

show for Irish Medium Schools. The aim of<br />

‘Coirm’ is to promote the use of Irish among<br />

primary school pupils by providing a stage<br />

for them to display their talents in a noncompetitive<br />

Irish-speaking environment.<br />

Shows include a variety of elements such as<br />

music, song, dance and recitation.<br />
