Adopt – A – School programme<br />
on the 2 nd of September, 2008.<br />
The participation in the school<br />
activity symbolizes <strong>Oando</strong>’s<br />
commitment to take active and<br />
direct participation in the<br />
empowerment of education in<br />
host communities of its<br />
operations.<br />
The event celebrated excellence<br />
and rewarded hand work based<br />
on academic performances,<br />
participation in school vocational<br />
activities, leadership, amongst<br />
others. Two very special awards<br />
where presented by <strong>Oando</strong>,<br />
which were the <strong>Oando</strong> Best<br />
School Living Girl and Boy<br />
Certificates and cash prizes. The<br />
awards marked the recognition<br />
and support of the best<br />
academic performances of both<br />
female and male students in the<br />
2008 school leaving primary six<br />
classes.<br />
The continuous support of<br />
school activities, under the<br />
<strong>Oando</strong> Adopt-A –School<br />
programme, such as the Prize<br />
Giving Day, Sports Day, etc.<br />
aims to further strengthen the<br />
partnership between <strong>Oando</strong> and<br />
host communities.<br />
