"It is high energy alternative
pop laced with flavours of
darkness, hope and desire."
The Festival is very proud that three of Northern Ireland's
brightest and best musicians will gather at the Crescent
Arts Centre to showcase the interface between songwriting
and literature. Since ‘Astral Weeks’, the poems and stories
of Ulster have created a well of inspiration for local
songwriters and the new generation of talent which has
come to the fore in the last few years are no exception.
An evening of unique ability and talent awaits.
After cutting his musical teeth as part of Eskimos Fall,
Peter McVeigh's solo EP ‘Lights’ was released in 2012 to
critical acclaim. Singer-songwriter Aaron Shanley's minialbums
'Let The Sun In' & 'The Nashville Sessions EP' both
received critical acclaim and airplay on BBC 6 Music and
BBC Radio 1. Aaron is currently recording his new EP
'Don't Move' due for release later this year. Silhouette is the
vision and work of a passionate Northern Irish songstress,
Shauna Tohill, who brings high energy alternative pop
laced with flavours of darkness, hope and desire.
