hung with tapestry in design and substance similar <strong>to</strong> that<br />

in the Audience Chamber. It should be noted that all<br />

this tapestry probably was introduced at a period long<br />

subsequent <strong>to</strong> the reign of Queen Mary, perhaps when<br />

the new Palace was built in 1672-79. In the fireplace<br />

may be noted some excellent old Dutch tiles, half concealed<br />

by an eighteenth-century grate.<br />
