30th Anniversary Commemor<strong>at</strong>ive Quilt Project<br />

To help celebr<strong>at</strong>e the 30th<br />

Anniversary of <strong>Ronald</strong> <strong>McDonald</strong><br />

<strong>House</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Stanford</strong>, white cotton<br />

squares were mailed to all families<br />

who stayed <strong>at</strong> the <strong>House</strong> for whom we<br />

had addresses. Over 160 decor<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

squares were returned. With the help of several<br />

quilting stores and numerous volunteers, three<br />

quilts have been assembled and two additional<br />

quilts are due to be completed.<br />

Each quilt square was accompanied by a<br />

short profile about the person on it. In many<br />

cases, the squares and notes were touching<br />

memorials to children who have passed away.<br />

But, we also received a tremendous number of<br />

To help maintain clinical integrity, please be<br />

ones overcoming a life-thre<strong>at</strong>ening illness<br />

and growing up to achieve their dreams<br />

of gradu<strong>at</strong>ing high school, becoming a<br />

doctor, or having a family of their own.<br />

Each story is unique and poignant.<br />

We wish to express our deep gr<strong>at</strong>itude to the<br />

families who cre<strong>at</strong>ed squares. A special thank you<br />
