As September comes
round, we enter a
time of great seasonal
change; retailers are
stocking up for the
Christmas shopping
surge, and designers
will be looking even
further ahead to spring/summer 2013. The
fashion calendar is bursting with show
dates as those of us in the industry prepare
for an onslaught of new trends, new
products and new labels.
It can seem overwhelming, but with the
festive period bringing many opportunities
to dress up and spoil our loved ones, it’s
easier to find an incentive to focus on the
fine details of what colours, shapes and
details we will be lusting after in just a few
short months. With the winter party circuit
in mind, we’ve put together a selection of
clutch bags ideal for the office party, a girls’
night out, and formal occasions (page 77).
The forthcoming month sees Autumn
Fair, IJL, Top Drawer, London Fashion
Week and Manchester Gift Show take
place. With such a diverse selection of
events showcasing the latest and greatest
accessory brands, it can be difficult to keep
up with what to look out for at each show.
