Brazilian Percussion<br />
<strong>Pearl</strong>’s line of Brazilian Percussion brings modern refinements and <strong>Pearl</strong> quality to the traditional Samba<br />
musician. The Timbao is made from lightweight fiberglass, and is capable of the extremely high tension<br />
utilized in traditional Brazilian ensembles. The lightweight wood shell Surdos allow for hours of comfortable<br />
play when worn over the shoulder with the provided strap. Available in 18˝x22˝, 20˝x18˝ and 22˝x22˝<br />
sizes (diameter x depth) and a 14˝ Tan Tan added, <strong>Pearl</strong>’s Surdos continue to become the industry standard.<br />
The Caixa is available in 12˝x4˝ and 12˝x6.5˝ wood shell with drum key tuneable textured heads and<br />
SR-018 style throw-off. Our super lightweight Cuica features an 8˝ Goat skin head and comes equipped<br />
with a carrying strap and a specially designed sponge. Our Repinique’s feature lightweight yet sturdy steel<br />
shells with etched heads, shoulder straps and low rims for incredible playing comfort. Two models of<br />
Pandeiros and a Pandanza with multi function effects and a traditional Tamborim round out the line. The<br />
Rocar is equipped with brass and steel platinellas, and can be played as a single shaker, or separated<br />
for two-handed sonic options. All are offered in the traditional Brazilian colors of bright Blue, Yellow and<br />
Green for dynamic looks that will surely get you noticed where ever you play.<br />
