for college
The application for the USTA Pacific Northwest Glenn Lovett College Scholarship is now available. The section scholarship
was renamed last year in honor of former USTA Pacific Northwest Secretary-Treasurer Glenn Lovett who passed away in November
of 2007. Lovett was an avid tennis player and volunteer who contributed critical advice, a positive attitude and good
humor during his tenure on the USTA Pacific Northwest Board of Directors.
USTA Serves (formerly known as the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation) also offers several different scholarships for
those students who qualify. USTA Serves is a not-for-profit entity of national scope that is dedicated to encouraging children to
pursue their goals and highest dreams by succeeding in school and becoming responsible citizens.
In addition to the college scholarships, USTA Serves provides Player Incentive Awards on an annual basis. This award is a
one time, nonrenewable grant of $500. The purpose of the Player Incentive Award is to support the development of USTA youth
tennis program participants with great potential and a commitment to academic excellence.
To learn more and to apply for these scholarships and/or player incentive award, please go to our website at www.pnw.usta.com
incentive award applications must be mailed directly to the USTA Pacific Northwest Section office (4840 SW Western Ave, Suite
