July 4th Adult Doubles Round Robin:
Monday, July 2rd, 10-12pm
“King of the Court” format. Players will be placed by
ability, with the winners moving up a court and splitting
partners, while the losing team moves down a court and
does the same. Refreshments and food will be provided
for the event and included in the price, (TBD). Please
sign up in the Pro Shop or via
email at chcctennisproshop@chapelhill-cc.com.

Sunday Mixed Doubles:
Starting April 15th, we have friendly Mixed Doubles
here at the club from 1-2:30pm. You can sign up with
a partner or on your own (signing up on your own will
not guarantee a partner!) Please sign up with the pro
shop at 932-2855
Thursday Men’s night:
6:30-8:30pm. ALL levels Welcomed! We have a
few options for this weekly night of fun tennis for the
guys. Please sign up in Advance with the Tennis Pro
Shop.
Option 1: Show up and play with the guys, the
club will leave a bucket of beer out and ON YOUR
HONOR please tally how many you have had!
Option 2: Lindsay, Derek and/or Jarrod will
coordinate an hour clinic from 6:30-7:30 for those
who sign up (limited to 12). Afterwards, all guys are
welcomed to jump into Men’s night for the last hour
and get a set or two in.
-Prices for the clinic (minimum of 3 for a clinic) would
be between $12-$15 based on #’s. If only 2 guys show
up for clinic, it will be a semi-private lesson.
Summer Camp:
Currently, our overall number of junior participants
for our Tennis Camps is low. Due to this, we may be
cancelling our tennis camps during the weeks of June
18th, July 2nd and July 9th and adding daily clinics with
drop ins welcomed at a higher daily rate. We will offer a
discount to those juniors who sign up in advance for the
full session of clinics.
Adult Singles Championships:
Saturday, June 2nd @ 9:00am
Anyone up for some singles?? This is your
chance to show the club who’s the best singles player
here at CHCC. We will have separate divisions….Men’s
and Women’s 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 if we have enough
players signed up for each event. Depending on how
many are signed up in each division will determine
the type of tournament we will hold. If there are not
enough participants in an event, we could combine them
and adjust the format and style of tournament to make
it even for everybody.
Please sign up with the pro shop and let us know your
current USTA rating when adding your name to the list.
Lunch and awards will be included with this event.
Friday Night Doubles
6:15-7:45PM
Those members looking to enjoy a fun and
social night of doubles can come out and play. This is
a great way for our new members to meet new players
and enjoy a fun evening at the club. Stay afterwards and
enjoy the “Friendly Fridays on the Porch” clubhouse
menu! Please sign up with the pro shop or via e-mail
(chcctennisproshop@chapelhill-cc.com) if you are
interested in playing. No cost for the doubles night.
Friday’s 10:00AM -11:30AM with Derek Boone, Head
Tennis Professional. Be advised, this clinic will involve
intense cardio routines at times and focus more on
conditioning rather than technique and strategy.
All levels are welcomed to participate.
Junior Summer Team Tennis:
Starting Monday, June 11th until Wednesday
August 15th. Jr. Team Tennis/Quickstart Tennis: Ages
8-16. All Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 4:00pm-
6:00pm.
These clinics will go over strategy, tactics and
matches during the two hours, with refreshments and
snacks provided each day. The cost will be $20 per day.
Each junior must be able to serve, rally and keep score to
participate in this clinic.
2012 USTA Adult State Championships:
June 14th – 17th: Greenville, NC. for 3.0, 4.0 & 5.0 teams
June 28th – July 1st: Pinehurst, NC. for 2.5, 3.5 & 4.5 teams
Junior USTA & Quickstart CHCC Teams:
We have a total of 7 junior teams out of CHCC…
that is MOST out of ALL clubs in the area, with 55 total
juniors players!! The season will be wrapped up in June,
but we are so proud of our juniors with the way they have
competed this season. We are looking to have 4 teams
from CHCC advancing to the State Championships July
13-15 in Greenville, NC.
8 & Under: CHCC Aces: 3-0, 257 total games
