• Need polynomial arithmetic over finite field k:<br />
– Gcd(a,b): Greatest common divisor.<br />
– Div/Mod: Polynomial division with remainder.<br />
• These are complicated algorithms.<br />
• Very efficient field arithmetic is needed (esp. inversion!).<br />
• Efficiency of complete implementation in hardware<br />
