Forum shopping centre is located in the<br />
city centre of Nis and covers a total area<br />
of 16,000m2 over 6 levels which are<br />
split into 3 retail floors, 2 offices and an<br />
underground car park.<br />
The building represents an important<br />
innovation for the city of Nis, not only for<br />
its enhanced architectural appearance,<br />
which stands out for its compactness and<br />
simplicity, but for the commercial content<br />

enclosed within the new Laminam façade<br />
yet conspicuous and clearly visible from<br />
the busy pedestrian street.<br />
Prior to our intervention this was a large<br />
grey monolith housing a communist era<br />
department store and since Nis was used<br />
to underground markets, this project<br />
proposes a new shopping formula to the<br />
city, modernising the retail and revitalising<br />
an outdated and run-down urban area.<br />
