Student Ministry Corner
One of the Core Values of our Student Ministry is equipping students to go, to serve, and to tell
others about Christ — in other words, Missions. We are committed to Acts 1:8 when Jesus tells
His disciples (and all of us): ―But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest
parts of the earth‖ (NET). December affords us plenty of missions opportunities in the Student
Ministry — opportunities to demonstrate our love for God by loving and serving others. Here are
a few of the ways our students will be ―on mission‖ this month :: The HS participates with the
rest of the church in Angel Tree by giving, shopping and delivering gifts to numerous families;
the MS & HS will both deliver cookies to our church’s shut-ins in cooperation with the LOTS
Ministry; our MS & HS students will spend a week baking cookies and then will hand them and
hot chocolate out to people from our community in front of Giant on the 22nd; and both groups’
Servant Teams will be in action serving their respective groups and the church. We covet your
prayers for our students this month as they get involved in the mission Jesus left for us of sharing
His love with others in word and in deed.
