Cards galore
Thanks to your support HA
raised over £2,000 through
the sales of Christmas cards,
our new e-card and various
donations in lieu of cards.

bike crazy!
Michael Croft, Liam Parr, Craig
Beasant and Michael Mella
successfully completed their
epic cycle from Calcot Manor
to Bailiffscourt Hotel in West
Sussex (108 miles) without
once getting lost! The Calcot
Cycling Team have managed
to raise over £1,000.
3663 Golf Day
teed off nicely
A great day was had by all on
the 23rd September at the
3663 Key Supplier Charity
Golf Day which was held at
the prestigious Moor Park Golf
Club. The event raised a very
impressive £35,000 for the
charity.

HA invited to high
tea at Highgrove
The stunning gardens at Highgrove
On the 1st September HRH The Prince of
Wales very kindly allowed Hospitality Action
an exclusive tour of the gardens at Highgrove
which was preceded by a delicious lunch
at Calcot Manor. This event raised almost
£12,000.
Mosimann’s festive fundraiser
On the 30th November Anton
Mosimann, one of the worlds most
respected and influential chefs, hosted
a festive fundraising dinner for HA.
Guests experienced a carefully crafted
five-course culinary masterpiece with
many of the club’s signature dishes.
Set in a beautifully converted 19th
century church, the magnificent
surroundings enhanced the evening’s
seasonal cheer and goodwill whilst
raising £13,000.

Breakfast Briefing – Protecting our
Industry Against Alcohol And Drug Misuse
Since 2007, the Ark for Business
has worked with a growing number
of companies across the hospitality
sector, helping them to implement
best practice in managing the risks
presented by alcohol and drugs in
the workplace. A breakfast briefing
on 18th November at Rubens at
the Palace Hotel provided senior
industry colleagues an opportunity

presented with a cheque
for £20,000 for The Ark
Foundation by Allan Edwards,
Compass Group UK & Ireland
which will help fund the
programme.

The Manchester Hoteliers
Association do it again!
Over 500 people gathered at the
Manchester Hoteliers Association
Ball on the 29th October at the
newly refurbished Ramada Jarvis
Piccadilly Hotel. Each year the MHA
celebrates its people through a high
profile charity Ball. This year the big
hearted hoteliers community dug
deep and over £10,000 was raised
for HA.
Le Manoir raises
funds for HA
£10,000 was recently raised by the
team at Le Manoir, one of the most
illustrious gastronomic and luxury
hotels in Britain and on the 8th
January Raymond Blanc presented
a cheque to Penny Moore outside a
very snowy Le Manoir!

Premier Inn
Patrick Dempsey, Premier Inn was
presented with an award by Fred
Barnes, 3663 to recognise Premier
Inn’s hard work in raising almost
£700,000 over the past couple of
years. The whole team have been
furiously fundraising, from pyjama
parties to mountain climbing to how
could we forget…their Purple Hair
Day!
On Friday 14th May 2010 at the Rockingham Forest hotel in Corby former colleagues who worked for Crest Hotels
will gather for what may be their last annual reunion. Money will be donated to the Ducks chosen charity, Hospitality
