Monday lunch-Tuesday lunch
The Art of Marriage brings together
some of the most respected and
influential pastors and experts on marriage
and family all in one setting. It
also brings a fresh approach to a video
event by weaving together engaging
stories, real-life testimonies, man-onthe-street
interviews and humorous
vignettes to help couples fully experience
God’s design for marriage.
The Art of Marriage consists of six
video sessions and an accompanying
manual that provides couples with
projects to help apply the principles
taught during each session. The
manual is also designed for couples
to use after the event by offering
articles, date night ideas, and useful
tips for continuing to strengthen their
marriage.
As our gift to people in ministry, we
are discounting these rates significantly.
National Bible
Bee (MBC serves as
a local host site)
Saturday, August 25
How can 2 cards a week and 20
minutes a day deepen your family’s
relationship with Christ?
The Bee is designed to help your family
move closer to God and closer to
one another as you learn, live out,
and celebrate His Word. Register
your children ages 7-18 years for the
2012 Bible Bee and learn how we
can equip and encourage a lifestyle
of investing in and living out your
relationship with Christ.
Each contestant receives:
• 25 Bible Memory Cards. That works
out to just over 2 cards per week during
the summer, a “do-able” goal for
your whole family!
• A Bible in one of five translations
• A “Sword Study” in-depth study on
one book of the Bible leveled for three
age groups, enabling the whole family
to study the same book at the same
time. Sword Studies don’t just teach
the Bible, they teach a lifelong skill of
how to study and apply the Bible, in
just 20 minutes a day.
• An official participant Bible Bee
T-shirt and button
• A Parent Guidebook that gives a
solid overview of the study and includes
a Family Bonfire Guide, so that
you can easily lead your family in fun
times of learning and sharing what
the Lord has taught you throughout
the week.
You can join with other Bible Bee
families at fun summer events here
at MBC!
Your children can show their progress
in the Word at an encouraging
Celebration Day on Saturday, August
25th! The top 300 from across the
country will be invited to compete
for $260,000 in prize money at
the National Competition! Family
Registration is open April 1- May 31st
As young adults, we wrestle with
certain life questions like: what kind
what will I do with my life, how do I
prioritize the demands being made on
my life and what does my spiritual life
look like, just to name a few. During
this retreat, we will be spiritually
challenged as Dennis Ashley shares
from God’s Word. Along with spiritual
challenges, there are plenty of things
to physically challenge you as well,
like paintball, volleyball, GIANT Swing,
indoor climbing wall plus more.
Carols by Candlelight
Dinner Concert with
with Damaris Carbaugh
Friday, December 7
Damaris Carbaugh has known the
heights of success in the New York
recording community. She’s sung on
commercial jingles for some of the
world’s biggest advertisers, including
Coca Cola, Pepsi, Kentucky Fried
Chicken, Minute Maid and Wrigley’s
Double Mint Gum. Yet the desire of
her heart is to be a servant of Christ.
“I don’t want a ‘career,’” she says, “I
want to be faithful.”
Her depth of love and devotion for
her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
is so evident through her special
gift of song and
powerful speaking
ministry. You
will be moved
and inspired
as Damaris
reveals a true
Damaris Carbaugh
servant’s heart through her beautiful
voice and personality which reflects
A Quiet Christmas
Saturday, December 8
Do seeing the words “Quiet” and
“Christmas” used in the same
sentence seem a little strange to you?
Does peace feel far removed from
your Christmas tradition? You’re not
alone. The overload and exhaustion
of everyday life leaves many of us
approaching December with a weary
sigh. Christmas can seem more about
chaos than quiet. To counteract this,
we invite you to a delightful, free
event for people of all ages. A room
called “The Quiet Corner” will include
an indoor, live nativity where you can
pause, enjoy soft music, and quietly
marvel at the wonder of Emmanuel
- God with us. “The Family Room”
will be a warm and lively place where
young and old can enjoy cookies
and hot chocolate, make a Christmas
card, or listen to beautiful Christmas
carols. Allow your heart a quiet place
to rest and ponder the meaning of
Christmas. Joy to the world, the Lord
has come! Let earth receive her King!
No cost for this event. Takes place
from 11am – 3pm in Dreyer Lodge.
Come and go throughout this time.
