Our Election Day: October 30, 2010
The COMELEC:

Candidates presentation:
September and October GMM.
As our tradition, September starts the following:
1) The official opening of filing for candidacy for all positions,
2) Filing of application for absentee ballots (for the general
election only)
3) September 30, 2010 as COMELEC’s deadline for mailing
out absentee ballots to qualified applicants
(and they will be mailed out even if they are blanks).
They must be back in COMELEC’s hands by October 29,
2010 2400 hours PST.
The list of eligible voters shall be obtained from the
Membership Committee through the BOD as soon as
possible.
A few notes for the General Election
a. The Election Guidelines furnished to the COMELEC by
the BOD shall be completely adhered to.
b. Ballot forms would not contain control numbers to ensure
anonymity.
The Comelec shall institute uniformity in combination with
distinct authentication method(s) to ensure that only valid
and legitimate ballots are honored and counted/
canvassed.
The respective candidates’ representatives shall be
thoroughly briefed of the procedure for absolute credence.
c.The Absentee Ballots, in addition, would contain
undisclosed undecipherable codes/marks to address
control and authenticity.

information as appropriate in a timely manner, to insure
that every member has all the information to base their
individual decisions on. We wish you all the needed
intellect, heart and prudence in making your individual
judgments!
