SECTIOir II, Size of the Generator, The fiirst problem inihleh presents itself in the design of any power plant - is the determination of the Size of the Generator, This prohlem is solved first by detailed analysis of the amount of power which the plant will be called upon to furnish. The result thus obtained should then be checked against the results which have been obtained in past experience with similar installations. If the two differ - then there must be some peculiarity about the installation under investigation, and this peculiarity should be isolated and given special attention in order to ascertain irtiether or not proper weight is being given to its influence. The size of the plant in the case at hand was estimated by making assumptions of the loads required by the different classes of service at the time of the peak loadi; as given in the following table, Type of Building Number TABLE 1.
