TO ADjUST THE FACE SETTING/BALL FLIGHT<br />
The King Cobra L5V Driver utilizes an exclusive hosel sleeve with two built-in face settings:<br />
Standard (0) and Increased Draw-Bias (1). Each driver is factory set in the Standard position<br />
(0 – pointing toward target).<br />
This technology allows you to adjust between a Standard and Increased Draw-Bias ball flight<br />
by following these simple steps:<br />

1 Securely hold the clubhead in one hand, and the Cobra torque wrench in<br />
the opposite hand.<br />
2 Loosen the shaft by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw from the<br />
soleplate and rotating counterclockwise until the shaft <strong>ca</strong>n be removed.<br />
Note: Insert torque wrench directly into the hosel screw to avoid damaging<br />
the screw head. It is not necessary to completely remove the hosel screw to<br />
rotate the shaft. Simply loosen the screw enough to clear the hosel sleeve<br />
keyed features.<br />
3 Turn the shaft 180˚ and insert back into the clubhead. The markings on<br />
the hosel sleeve indi<strong>ca</strong>te the face setting:<br />
‘0’ facing target – Standard Face setting<br />
‘1’ facing target – Increased Draw-Bias Face setting<br />
4 Tighten the screw by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and<br />
rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click<br />
ensures that the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over- or undertighten<br />
the hosel screw.<br />
Note: If the torque wrench does not click, your L5V clubhead is not properly<br />
tightened and may not perform as designed.<br />

TO CHANGE THE SHAFT<br />
The King Cobra L5V Driver offers the ability to easily interchange the factory-installed shaft with<br />
any available* customized shaft. Follow these steps to customize your King Cobra L5V Driver:<br />
Swingweight Screw<br />
1 – Install the customized replacement shaft<br />
a Securely hold the clubhead in one hand and the Cobra torque wrench in the<br />
opposite hand. Note which number on the hosel sleeve is facing forward, 0 or 1.<br />
Be sure to install your new shaft in the same orientation.<br />
b Loosen the clubhead by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and<br />
rotating counterclockwise until the shaft <strong>ca</strong>n be removed.<br />
c Install the customized replacement shaft in the desired face angle setting<br />
(see Step 3 of “To Adjust the Face Setting”).<br />
d Tighten the hosel screw by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and<br />
rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click ensures that<br />
the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over- or under-tighten the hosel screw.<br />
2 – Install the corresponding swingweight screw**<br />
a Securely hold the clubhead in one hand and the Cobra torque wrench in the<br />
opposite hand.<br />
b Loosen the swingweight screw by inserting the wrench bit into the<br />
swingweight screw and rotating counterclockwise until the screw <strong>ca</strong>n be<br />
loosened by hand.<br />
c Install the new swingweight screw by aligning the threads of the screw with<br />
the threads of the L5V clubhead.<br />
d Tighten the swingweight screw by inserting the wrench bit into the head and<br />
rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click ensures that<br />
the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over- or under-tighten the hosel screw.<br />
Note: Do not attempt to clean or remove the red substance off of the hosel and<br />
swingweight screw threads. Doing so may <strong>ca</strong>use the screws to loosen over time.

In order to utilize your custom L5V shaft, it must be factory-fitted with an L5V hosel adapter sleeve. Never<br />

through a lo<strong>ca</strong>l Cobra dealer.<br />

screw, which was provided with your driver shaft.<br />
(1) The King Cobra L5V Driver fully conforms to the Rules of <strong>Golf</strong> approved by the uSGA and R&A. According<br />
to the Rules of <strong>Golf</strong>, Rule 4-2a, neither the swingweight screw nor the face setting may be adjusted during<br />
a round of <strong>golf</strong>: “During a stipulated round, the playing characteristics of a club must not be purposely<br />
changed by adjustment or by any other means.” (2) Do not attempt to loosen or tighten the hosel screw and/<br />
or the swingweight screw with any tool other than the Cobra torque wrench. Doing so may <strong>ca</strong>use damage to<br />
the screw heads. Improper installation of the hosel screw or the swingweight screw could potentially <strong>ca</strong>use<br />
harm. (3) Carefully inspect the hosel and swingweight screws prior to each round of <strong>golf</strong>, or practice session<br />
to ensure that they are secured to the clubhead. Failure to do so may: (a) Cause the screws to rattle loose<br />
during the course of use, in turn <strong>ca</strong>using the club to become nonconforming according to Appendix II, 4a of the<br />
Rules of <strong>Golf</strong>. (b) Allow foreign materials into the screw threads, <strong>ca</strong>using harm to the screw housings. (4) Do<br />
