Domestic Violence
“No matter which form it takes, the dynamics of
abuse in domestic violence situations differ
significantly from other crimes. The victim is
known in advance, the likelihood of repeat
violence is common and interactions between
the justice system and the victim are typically
more complex than with other crimes.” Violence
