It is a duplicate model of an original Jack White 

driver; White was a renowned Scottish clubmaker 

whose most famous customer was Bobby Jones, 

who was a pretty good golfer. 

Our Hickory-shafted Spoon has 16 degrees of 

loft and is the same original Jack White model 

shape as the driver, in a smaller size with more 

loft. This is a popular driver/tee option for golfers 

with smoother swings who require more loft to

club of the Hickory era. Bulldogs, so named for their short nose 

and compact size, have a rounded sole which makes them great

Alex Smith 


Alex Smith was the oldest of five brothers who 

traveled from Scotland to find their fortune in 

America. Smith won the U.S. Open in 1906 

and 1910 and was an accomplished clubmaker. 

Our Alex Smith putter is a duplicate of an 

original putter made by Smith and is a traditional 

long nose style. This is one of our most 

popular Hickory-shafted putters.

Samuel Ryder 


Robert Forgan first began making his own clubs in 1856. 

In 1863 Forgan was appointed “Golf Club Maker to the 

Prince of Wales.” This putter is a replica of the Forgan 

design which dates before 1863; this model specifically 

was made for Samuel Ryder, the namesake of The 

Ryder Cup matches held in Louisville in 2008. This 

year Chicago will have the honor of hosting the event.

Amby-Dex 


The Amby-Dex putter was first offered in the 

Wilson catalog in 1925. It was described as 

“an ingenious center-shafted wood head club, 

made with dual faces of brass. Its peculiar 

construction gives it exceptional balance.” It 

can be played either right or left-handed.

Willie Dunn 


This putter replicates the Willie Dunn Pyralin putter 

that was patented in 1903. The sides of the head 

“are parallel and substantially at right angles to the 

face for a short distance, so as to aid in fixing the direction 

of the shot.” It is one of the first center-shafted 

putters ever produced and is face-balanced.

Brown Vardon Calamity Jane 

Harry Vardon, winner of 7 major titles, including 

six Open Championships, remains one of golf’s 

luminaries, in no small part due to the success of 

Mark Frost’s book (and subsequent movie from 

Disney) The Greatest Game Ever Played. The 

book and movie tell the powerful story of underdog 

Francis Ouimet’s unlikely win over Vardon 

in the 1913 U.S. Open. Vardon’s search for the 

perfect putter led him to Arthur Brown; Vardon 

used this BV putter made by Brown to win two of 

his six Open Championships.

Hollow Back 


The HB putter has a wide-flanged sole and dot-punched face 

framed by vertical lines along with nicking on the hosel. It has a 

duo-flange head design, with a thick top-line gently curving inward. 

This putter is a replica of the classic Spalding HB putter. 

The original Spalding HB (standing for Hollow Back) was offered 

in 1919 by A.G. Spalding & Bros. and ushered in an era of bladestyle 

putter designs that are used to this very day.

Bobby Jones began putting with his original Calamity 

Jane after a friendly round at the Nassau CC on Long 

Island before competing in the 1923 U.S. Open. The 

brother of Stewart Maiden (Jones’ teacher) heard Jones 

complain about his putting, and handed him a putter he 

had named for the famous female sharpshooter from the 

Old West. Jones holed a 30-foot putt on his first try and 

kept the putter in his bag to win the U.S. Open days later. 

Being an explosive personality, Jones’ CJ putter almost 

split several times. He applied three whipping applications 

around the Hickory shaft to firm it up. Our CJ Model 

replica is exact, including the three whipping points.
