Beatrice Dombrowski Hair received<br />
her MAEd in curriculum and instruction<br />

Ronald L. Hicks Jr. (JD) is in the<br />

been appointed to a four-year term as<br />
solicitor for the Republican Committee<br />

Susan Bramlett Epps is assistant chair<br />
of the department of physical therapy at<br />
East Tennessee State University in<br />
Johnson City.<br />
J.P. Hesford is a lieutenant colonel in the<br />
U.S. Marine Corps. He is a defense attache<br />
to the American embassy in Rome, Italy.<br />
He and his wife, Kati, have two children,<br />
Henry and Frances.<br />
Christopher M. Hines is the protocol<br />
officer for the U.S. Government for<br />
America’s White Sands Missile Range, an<br />
overland test rocket facility. He and his<br />
wife, Bri, live in Las Cruces, NM.<br />

development with Glaxo-SmithKline<br />
Inc., working with the respiratory division<br />

Tim Crater is a clinical assistant professor<br />
in the department of internal medicine<br />
of the University of Kansas School of<br />
Medicine in Wichita, KS, and a staff physician<br />
at the Hutchinson Clinic. He has been<br />
elected a Fellow of the American College<br />
of Physicians. He and his wife, Debby, and<br />
their four children live in Hutchinson, KS.<br />
Andrew J. Gerber (JD) is an adjunct<br />
professor at the <strong>Wake</strong> <strong>Forest</strong> School of<br />
Law and a partner with Horton & Gerber<br />
PLLC in Winston-Salem. He has been<br />
appointed chair of the music and film<br />
committee of the sports and entertainment<br />
law section of the N.C. Bar Association.<br />
Karen Noble Grossman is a golf<br />
instructor at Sunningdale Country Club<br />
in Scarsdale, NY, and the assistant golf<br />
coach for men and women at Columbia<br />

H. Michael Lesmeister is senior vice<br />

and Management in Houston, TX.<br />
Robert B. Outland III teaches history at<br />
Louisiana State University. He wrote a<br />
book, Tapping the Pines: The Naval Store<br />
Industry in the American South, an account<br />
of one of the South’s oldest industries.<br />

Betty Balcomb (JD) left the practice of<br />
law to be a teaching fellow in the Bronx<br />
with the New York City Public Schools.<br />
Jim Fagan is the founder of SideStreet<br />
Capital, a private equity fund investing in<br />
commercial real estate in the United<br />
States. He and his wife, Beth Davis<br />
Fagan (’92), live in Charlotte, NC, and<br />
