Louis E. Keiner (MS ’91) is associate<br />

professor of physics and director of the<br />

Center for Effective Teaching and Learning<br />

at Coastal Carolina University in Conway,<br />

SC. He and his wife, Lesley, and daughter,<br />

Emma, live in Georgetown.<br />

Kathleen “KC” Murphy is with<br />

DeLeonardo & Associates in Baltimore,<br />

MD, with a primary concentration on<br />

criminal defense.<br />

John S. Penton Jr. completed his MA in<br />

marine affairs and policy at the University<br />

of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine<br />

and Atmospheric Science and his LL.M in<br />

ocean and coastal law at the University of<br />

Miami School of Law. He is with Lipcon<br />

Margulies & Alsina PA and lives in Miami<br />

with his wife, Natasha, and daughter,<br />

Anastasia.<br />

Paul Reinisch is assistant principal at<br />

Colonie Central High School in Albany,<br />

NY. He and his wife, Melissa, have a son,<br />

Jake (2), and a daughter, Sydney (1).<br />

Don Gunther (MBA) is senior faculty for<br />

Neville “Ned” Hedley is an assistant<br />

U.S. attorney with the general crimes section<br />

of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the<br />

Southern District of California. He and his<br />

wife, Kim Reynolds Hedley (’94), and<br />

son, William, live in San Diego.<br />

Sherri Snelson is a partner with Fried<br />

Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP<br />

and has relocated to London.<br />

1992<br />

Paul Caldwell III finished his residency<br />

in orthopaedic surgery at The Medical<br />

College of Virginia. He is completing a<br />

one-year fellowship in sports medicine<br />

and arthroscopy at the Mississippi Sports<br />

Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in<br />

Jackson, MS.<br />

Raimo de Vries is a vice president and<br />

part of the international corporate banking<br />

team of Fifth Third Bank, Northeastern<br />

Ohio.<br />

Rochelle Lantz Glover graduated from<br />

the West Virginia University College of<br />

Law. She is a career law clerk for the U.S.<br />

Circuit Judge for the Fourth Circuit in<br />

Charleston, WV.<br />

Christopher C. King is vice president<br />

and equity analyst, covering the telecommunications<br />

sector, at Legg Mason Wood<br />

Walker Inc., a regional investment bank in<br />

Baltimore, MD. He and his wife, Christine,<br />

and son, Camden (1), live in Columbia,<br />

MD.<br />

Neil Raiford published a book, A<br />

Cottontail Bomber Crew in World War II, with<br />

his wife’s grandfather, Maurice Holt<br />

Gilliam (’53), as the tail gunner. Neil and<br />

his wife, Karen Gilliam Raiford (’94),<br />

live in Decatur, AL.<br />

Neil Alan Willard is associate rector at<br />

Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg,VA.<br />

1993<br />

Wes Burns is a vice president and corporate<br />

tax manager with BB&T in Winston-<br />

Salem. He and his wife, Shawn Settle<br />

Burns (’95), have three daughters,<br />

Dauphine, Margaret and Elizabeth.<br />

Michael Cate (MBA) is president of<br />

Corporate Express Document and Print<br />

Management in Broomfield, CO.<br />

Catherine Hogewood Fowler is the<br />

project coordinator for a federally funded<br />

special education outreach program at the<br />

University of North Carolina at Charlotte.<br />

She is in her third year of the special education<br />

PhD program.<br />

Canaan Huie was co-chair of the <strong>2004</strong><br />

AIDSWalk in Raleigh, NC. The next walk<br />

will be August 20, 2005.<br />

William “Wes” Sugg is a senior vice<br />

president and relationship manager in<br />

the private client group at First Citizens<br />

Bank in Charlotte, NC.<br />

Beth B. Tate (JD) specializes in crossborder<br />

transactions and projects for<br />

Americans and other foreign clients with<br />

Elias Sp. Paraskevas in Athens, Greece.<br />

Blair Whitley is manager of the individualist<br />

department at Nordstrom in<br />

Richmond,VA.<br />

John Zoll (MBA ’99) is a company<br />

commander in the U.S. Army, Fort Bragg,<br />

NC, and is serving in Iraq. He is looking<br />

forward to returning home to his wife,<br />

Robbie Locklear-Zoll (’91, PA ’94), and<br />

daughter, Maddy (20 mos.).<br />

1994<br />

Karen Davis is marketing manager<br />

for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series,<br />

with Nextel Communications in<br />

Huntersville, NC.<br />

Jamie Loving has been a volunteer<br />

Little League softball coach for 13 years.<br />

Last summer, he managed the McLean<br />

(VA) Little League All Stars team that<br />

finished second at the Little League<br />

Softball World Series in Portland, OR.<br />

His team of 11- and 12-year-old girls<br />

defeated the Canadian champions in the<br />

semifinals to advance to the title game,<br />

which was broadcast on ESPN. Even<br />

though his team lost to a team from<br />

Texas, he notes that they still finished<br />

second out of more than 3,000 teams<br />

competing from 70 countries. In his “day<br />

job,”he is vice president of finance for<br />

Blue Water Capital LLC in McLean,VA.<br />
