Division/1 Full-time<br />

DESCRIPTION: Seeking responsible team-oriented individual for the<br />

operation and maintenance of the public water supply<br />

distribution and customer metering systems. Will assist in<br />

maintenance of sanitary and storm water collection<br />

systems, lift stations, Water Pollution Control Facility,<br />

water production and storage, general facilities grounds,<br />

and Digger’s Hotline locates. May work variable shifts<br />

including on-call rotating duty schedule for off-hours<br />

customer service, including a maximum average response<br />

time of 25 minutes. Normal shift 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM<br />

Requirements – Valid CDL or CDL Permit with ability to<br />

obtain valid CDL license within 6 months of hire . High<br />

school diploma or equivalent preferred, supplemented by<br />

1 to 3 years of experience in construction and<br />

maintenance of public works or utility systems. Must be<br />

able to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly throughout the workday<br />

to perform moderately physically demanding work,<br />

equipment, snowplowing and rotation into solid waste<br />

Requirements – Must have a valid CDL or CDL Permit with<br />

ability to obtain valid license (including Class A-tractor/<br />

trailer) within 6 months of hire . High school diploma or<br />

equivalent preferred. Must have knowledge of chain saws,<br />

trimmers and various hand tools for general maintenance.<br />

Also possess knowledge of methods and techniques of<br />

street maintenance and repair, the City’s street system<br />

and precautions necessary to safely work in and around<br />

traffic. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly<br />

throughout the workday.<br />

STARTING SALARY: $16.15/hour, $19.52 after 12 months continuous<br />
