MicroMCA527
Ultra miniature Multi Channel Analyzer Module
The MicroMCA527 is an OEM MCA designed for minimum size, minimum power
requirements and to be integrated within any spectroscopical gamma detector. Software and
firmware are mostly compatible to MCA527, MCA527L and MCA527 OEM. Power supply
supply and communication is by a MicroUSB connector. The ADC inputs are directly
connected to the input pins, where a custom preamplifier as driver is expected.
µMCA527from top side and back side, on the right the micro USB connector
Different interface (I²C and RS232) and power supply lines (1.5V (ADC ref.), 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V
(from USB)) makes it possible to develop additional functions, like GPS receivers, sensors or
microcontrollers, around the module. Please contact us if you need support or a firmware
extension. Already available add-ons are PMT-compatible preamplifier, HV up to +/-1000V
and a PMT (14 pin) socket with all this included.
Technical Data
Amplifier
Differential input directly to ADC with common
mode at 1.5V and a range of +/-1V. May also
be used single ended with the negative input
fixed at 1.5V. Will accept positive as well as
negative signals. Low pass filtering of the input
signal with around 3 MHz bandwidth is
recommended.
Linearity better than 0.1%.
consumers connected, supply current may
increase up to 500mA.
Computer Interface
USB. Other possibilities see variants.
Firmware, Software
All firmware commands analog to MCA166 and
MCA527 with some extensions. Will operate
with some MCA166/MCA527 software.
Documentation will include description of all
firmware commands and a small programming
guide with examples.
