INTRODUCTION to the JOURNAL, ITS EDITOR, <strong>and</strong> ITS EDITORIAL BOARD<br />
Welcome to the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Choice</strong> Theory <strong>and</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy.<br />
This is Volume XXX1, No. 1, FALL, 2011.<br />
IJCTRT Editor:<br />
Previously, this journal was published as the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy (1997-<br />
2009), <strong>and</strong> as the <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy (1980-1996). The previous editor <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Journal</strong> was Dr. Larry Litwack, who served as editor from 1980-2009. His efforts, on<br />
behalf <strong>of</strong> the WGI membership plus many others who were also interested in William<br />
Glasser‘s ideas <strong>and</strong> the research that supported them, are legendary.<br />
The current editor <strong>of</strong> the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Choice</strong> Theory <strong>and</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy is<br />
Dr. Thomas S. Parish. Dr. Parish is Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Emeritus at Kansas State University in<br />
Manhattan, Kansas. He earned his Ph.D. in human development/developmental psychology<br />
at the University <strong>of</strong> Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, <strong>and</strong> subsequently became <strong>Reality</strong><br />
Therapy Certified (now called CTRTC), specializing in the areas <strong>of</strong> mental health, educational<br />
counseling, <strong>and</strong> marriage <strong>and</strong> family counseling. He has authored or co-authored scores <strong>of</strong><br />
RT/CT related articles that have been published in numerous pr<strong>of</strong>essional journals, including<br />
the <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy <strong>and</strong> the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy. He also has<br />
an extensive background in designing <strong>and</strong> conducting research studies <strong>and</strong> developing<br />
strategies for the implementation <strong>of</strong> <strong>Choice</strong> Theory <strong>and</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy.<br />

Besides Dr. Thomas S. Parish, who will serve as the editor <strong>of</strong> the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Choice</strong> Theory <strong>and</strong> <strong>Reality</strong> Therapy (IJCTRT), there is also in place an outst<strong>and</strong>ing team <strong>of</strong><br />
individuals who have agreed to serve on the editorial board <strong>of</strong> IJCTRT. They are:<br />
